Calderdale Forward developed a narrative to
accompany Calderdale’s LAA 2 (2008-2011). The Story of Place for LAA
2 sets out our
ambition for Calderdale and identifies the opportunities and
challenges the District faces. It sets out the framework and
priorities within which the indicators and targets in the LAA 2
have been agreed with Government. The story of place is not
formally part of our Local Area Agreement with Government but

narrative of the draft Sustainable Community Strategy which is
due to be finalised in Summer 2009.
